Welcome to Punta Borinquen Resort
Your home in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
Punta Borinquen Resort sits on some of the most storied ground in Aguadilla, offering guests the rare opportunity to stay in a vacation destination where history, adventure, and modern hospitality come together. Located on the former Ramey Air Force Base, an installation that once housed thousands of U.S. service members and played a significant role in Puerto Rico's military and aviation history, the resort stands as a gateway to both the past and the natural beauty that defines the island's northwest coast. Today, this historic property is home to our 92-room resort, an on-site Air Force Museum open on Saturdays, and a scenic walking trail that leads directly to Survival Beach, one of Puerto Rico's most celebrated surf destinations.

History Built In, Not Bolted On
At Punta Borinquen Resort, history is more than a display or a collection of artifacts. It is woven into the very landscape that surrounds our guests. Rather than building over the area's unique heritage, we embraced it, creating a modern resort experience that respects and celebrates the stories that came before. Visitors can explore the Air Force Museum and gain a deeper appreciation for the people and events that helped shape the region, then return to the comfort of the resort to relax by the pool, enjoy the tropical surroundings, or plan their next adventure. Few destinations offer such a seamless blend of historical discovery and contemporary comfort, allowing guests to experience both within the same day.
The former Ramey Air Force Base remains an important part of Aguadilla's identity, and its influence can still be felt throughout the surrounding community. Walking the grounds offers a sense of connection to the generations who lived and served here, while the nearby coastline provides a dramatic reminder of Puerto Rico's natural beauty. This combination of history and scenery creates a unique atmosphere that distinguishes Punta Borinquen Resort from traditional beach destinations.

Built for Groups and Families Alike

Puerto Rican-style Flavors
Survival Bistro Bar
Guests can also experience authentic Puerto Rican hospitality through our on-site restaurant, Survival Bistro Bar, where local flavors and island-inspired dishes bring people together around the table. From casual meals to special celebrations, dining becomes an important part of the guest experience, allowing visitors to connect with the culture and traditions of the region.

Independently Owned, Locally Inspired
Like every IHP Hospitality property, Punta Borinquen Resort is independently owned and operated. We are not guided by a corporate chain playbook or a one-size-fits-all approach to hospitality. Instead, our team draws on more than three decades of experience serving guests along Puerto Rico's west coast. That independence allows us to focus on what matters most: genuine service, authentic experiences, and a commitment to helping every guest feel welcome. From our historic setting and modern amenities to our connection with the local community, Punta Borinquen Resort offers an experience that is uniquely Puerto Rican and truly unforgettable.
